Wendy delivered my first baby in 1996 I will never forget how safe she made me feel and how much she cared. This lovely lady worked long after her shift and refused to leave my side until my baby was safely in my arms. Rest in peace xxx

One of the most thoughtful people we have ever met. Always smiling and always had time for everyone. We will miss you .

I miss you and remember our times together were so enjoyable and rewarding. Even though you were so ill, you still thought of others more than yourself, a sign of a true lady. You have left a huge hole in my life and I am privileged to have known you and shared a part of your life.

I've been thinking about Wendy a lot since I heard of her death. We first met on the day we sat the 11 plus and immediately hit it off. I was absolutely delighted that we ended up in the same class of 1970 at Whitcliffe Mount Grammar School. We were best mates for about 3 years. We had such fun - always laughing!! In darker times , and there were a couple, Wendy was a loyal, comforting supportive friend, and it seems she grew up into a very fine lady. I wish I'd known her in later life but I haven't lived in Yorkshire for over 30 years. I was very glad my Mum was able to attend Wendy's funeral. I treasure my memories of Wendy and those years of friendship which seem so far away and yet so near. X
