R.I.P. You are at peace now Dad. Happy memories of my childhood are many. But holidays to Butlins and Blue Dolphin caravan Park stand out. Seeing the Flags of Butlins and all cheering as we finally arrived and you and I at Blue Dolphin using the rope on the cliff to get to the beach ( its still there ) are memories amongst many that I cherish dearly. A son's love and respect to you Dad Richard

Having rides on the back of the big motorbike along Exeter Street (though I'd still have to walk back); introducing me to Classical music (Reader's Digest: A Festival Of Light Classical Music), Francis Albert Sinatra, Oscar and Hammerstein musicals, Acker Bilk and Tony Hancock; helping me buy my first decent road bike (a Dawes Red Feather with Campagnolo gears!); my first record player (Philips Disc Jockey Major); car rides to York in the front seat; astronomy and a Charles Frank telescope; having a TV to watch the early Apollo liftoffs; 2001 at the ABC; lending me and my friends your stereo for a party; late night conversations about life, the universe and infinity; and, most recently, reciting The Lion and Albert, word perfect. You still owe me £20.00, but I think I owe you more. w x
