Over the last few years there have been many changes regarding coffins that are available to families. The traditional wooden coffins we are all used to seeing are making way for modern and bespoke coffins, which can even be designed by the family.
Writing an Eulogy
Last week I was talking to a friend who said “I have been asked to speak at the funeral of a friend, because everyone thinks I am the right person to do it. I’m sure there is someone better, What do I do?” ”Where do I start?”

Today I would like to share with you a poem called The Undertaker. I have taken this from the fantastic website of my friend Charles Cowling, (I hope he doesn’t mind) who devised and edits The Good Funeral Guide. Charles is a man who calls a spade a spade, says someone is dead and has not passed away, and will give you all the information you need and want to know, about arranging a funeral. His book of the same name is an interesting and informative read, and well worth purchasing by anyone who may need to arrange a funeral at any time. His ever expanding list of recommended funeral directors, includes many great funeral directors up and down the country, one of which of course is our own company, who were the first to be listed in West Yorkshire. Take a look at his website, I guarantee you will be totally absorbed, but in the meantime enjoy the poem.
