Today on Remembrance Sunday at the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day, in the eleventh month, Her Majesty the Queen will lead the country to honour the brave men and women who have lost their lives serving our country, as she lays her wreath at the Cenotaph in London.

It has always been a great ambition of mine to attend the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London. I have tried to get tickets on numerous occasions, with no luck, so here I am sat at home once again watching it on the television.


Bonfire Night

Are you going to a Bonfire tonight? As I was driving home it was lovely watching all the fireworks lighting up the sky. I probably won’t be going to one as firstly I’m not very keen on them and secondly I don’t like the cold. So from the comfort of my conservatory, or the lounge with the fire on full, I shall enjoy the fireworks of the neighbours, and if I can’t see them I will definately hear them.

Over the past few weeks there has been much debate on the care of dying patients and the Liverpool Care Pathway. Many families have been concerned regarding the care, or lack of it regarding their relatives in the last few days or hours of life.


Stealing from the dead

It would seem that it is bad press for the Co-operative funeral service once again, as one of their employees was jailed yesterday for four months after stealing a purse from a lady who had died.
